I guess it a good way to die or have an accident.
I went to Walmart get a tire fixed and had to buy new one, Only think they had was Goodyear viva 3 made for walmart in china.
Never seem tire wall that thin and with 2 fingers I could bend the tire...
After seeing all the tire blowout and flat reported on the internet I went to Canadian tire and bough good tires...
so I guess yeah if you familly life or car isn't worth more than a few hundreds dollars it a good choice...

Tires are probably the most important safety feature on your car (brakes?), why risk it.

I've been buying the walmart clearance winter tires every other spring for the last five years or so and riding on them all year long.
They're fine, they stick like glue in the summer - and I drive like an idiot. (High speed, hard cornering.. a complete moron.)
They 're a soft winter compound, do scrub off and *need* replacing in 2 years, but it works out fine- I just buy the tires in spring, go back and get them mounted for free with receipt in the fall (pay for balancing, as always). The first winter they are new and great, spring summer fall they melt away, second winter they are at ~65% but more than enough left for wet coast, melt the rest off that spring summer fall, put on new tires. lather, rinse, repeat.
at ~$30 a tire for 205/60r16, I'm fine with them staying on all year long. Never had a failure, probably never will.
/I'd be more worried about Firestone blowing up at speed
Xphile. (as in 'X-files aficionado'..so yeah, I guess I am old..)

Been riding on Rovelo winter tires for 2 straight winters in Toronto and had no issues with them at all....this included all kinds of driving...wet, snow, city, highway, 407
Rovelo's are actually part of the Sailun tire company, meaning the same quality standards are applied in their manufacturing.

You mean one unknown company has the same standards as their unknown parent company. Thanks for clearing that up. My point being, you say it like everyone knows who Sailun is, even if they don't know who Rovelo is. I've never heard of either. But then again, tire companies don't tend to be brought up in conversation at our dinner table.

Haha..this is hardcore RFD.
Actually though Firestones tires these days are excellent. In fact when I bought my Sienna used I got them to put on the Destination LE from another Sienna on the lot and take the terrible Goodyears off. Chinese no name > Goodyear in my experience. I've have terrible wet traction on pretty much any Goodyears I've ever used.

So based on the tire size (205/60r16), I'm guessing you drive a pretty crappy car so this probably works out for you.

Love hearing from the misguided 'anything made in China is bad' crowd. Bought 16 inch Rovellos for my Sonata 3 years ago. At $35 a tire, the price was great and performance was good as well. Way better than the best all season and very good for a winter tire. Next year, I bought an rx8 (rwd) and went with the Rovellos again. No issues whatsoever for 2 winters so far. Sailun, who make Rovellos, is one of the top Chinese tire makers and their tire plant is down the street from the Pirelli plant. Yes, your Pirellis are made in China too. Doh! I guess those Pirellis are coming off your car now eh? When it comes to buying tires, it's all about doing your homework. But don't listen to me. Listen to the experts..

205 could be anything from a versa, sentry, cruze, cobalt, civic.. Etc
What are you trying to say? Are you even inclined to be talking about this?
