Synopsis
Share this *Alcoholocaust: (Meaning: The aftermath of a drinking party, usually resulting in every available horizontal surface being covered in empty booze containers, spilled beverages and a general sticky alcoholic residue.) Jim Jefferies, the globally renowned Australian stand-up, returns to Just For Laughs with his brand new solo show. Alcoholocaust includes some of Jim’s favourite wild antics over the past year. As always, his material is set in reality, which is what provides him with his trademark brutally frank style. Among other things, you will hear about a hilarious yet touching true story involving his friend’s severely disabled brother, plus Jim’s traditional pet peeves – religion & idiots.

Absolutely fucking hilarious. Reminds me a lot of Frankie Boyle, only with Jim, you can understand almost everything he says.
He's unbelievably offensive, vile, sexist and says cunt more times than anyone I know. And I absolutely fucking love him for it. One of the funniest shows I've watched.
I 100% recommend this to anyone. Unless you're religious. Or a lesbian. Or an American. Or offended by the word cunt. Or just easily offended in general. Perhaps it's not for everyone, but it is fucking hilarious.

I've grown to really love Jim Jefferies' stand-up over the last couple of years or so, and the first time I watched this one, not that long ago in fact, I never quite noticed just how drunk Jefferies was during this routine. It's credit to him how he remembered his script, but I'm glad he did because this is one of his best stand-up specials so far. Nearly 10 years old, and it hasn't dated a day, and with Jefferies on typical offensive form, the laughs come thick and fast. Entertaining troops in Iraq brings genuine hilarity, and the coke-fuelled hotel "rapey" segment if incredibly funny and a standout moment in what is a brilliantly offensive piece of writing from the big Aussie. Still pretty sure women will hate this, you can only be called a cunt so many times before it starts to sink in that maybe he means it?

Review by Andy Summers 🤠 ★★★★½
I've always liked offensive comedians for some reason. When nobody else swore during their set, I always loved Billy Connolly for pushing the envelope and making it almost mainstream. He could make the word "fuck" sound like it belonged in any conversation, no matter what the setting, and without the intention of offending anyone. As the years moved on however, so did the profanity, and although we don't get much of the C-word on television, even in 2019, the stigma attached to swearing has almost gone....almost.
Jim Jefferies describes himself as the comedian who says the word cunt more than any other, and he does it with abandon. Jefferies isn't just a shock-comedian, he's your typical Aussie who doesn't mince…

"Men don't give a fuck about kissing. We used to like kissing in our early teens, then someone sucked our dicks. Now it's all 'Why am I kissing this person? Why am I riding the swings when I've been to Disneyland?'"
This guy is brilliant.
The only way you don't like the guy is if you're easily offended at the word cunt, you're easily offended at Australians, or easily offended.
If you're like me and none of the above apply, there is no reason why you wouldn't love him. -

"Isn't that a fun story about a man dying?"
Now this is top-tier Jim Jefferies. Some of the earlier jokes haven't aged all that well, but Jim's more obviously kidding in this special than in his most recent. 95% of the jokes land, and, if one doesn't. the pacing is so tight that it's impossible to linger on one bad joke before transitioning to a great one.
"As far as I'm concerned, the wings have just fucking exploded."

Top-notch comedy. Every joke was so strong it could have been a closer.

many comedians talk the talk, very few will record their special in a blackout and kill 6 beers during the set. Inspirational, pioneering, empowering work

On closer inspection under the guise of raw sarcasm, Jefferies' stories are absolutely peaceful and tolerant, they show how we all live in the same miseries and sufferings.

50% Comedy 50% Drunken rant.
Inbetween the avalanche of "CUNTS!" this guy is pretty funny!
